The solar and lunar tides are studied for the H components at Pilar and Trelew as also for Sd1 (Pilar) obtained from their difference, for 1958. It is shown from Sd1 (Pilar) that the Sq (solar daily variation) variation patterns are similar for quiet and disturbed days. In the lunar tide, there is a prominent third harmonic, larger than the second harmonic which is usually reported to be the predominant one at mid-latitudes.
