Over the past decade, Doppler surveys have detected over thirty main sequence stars that harbor multiple planet systems. Most of these planetary systems have architectures quite different from the Solar System and offer clues as to how planet formation produces a great diversity of planetary systems. These discoveries have provided opportunities for dynamicists to make valuable contributions to characterizing the masses and orbital properties of multi-planet systems, as well as understanding key aspects of their formation and orbital evolution of history. I will review several key observed properties of multiple planet systems and discuss the implications for theories of planet formation and orbital evolution. I will discuss recent work to characterize the resonant and secular interactions of multiple planet systems. Finally, I will conclude with an overview of the prospects for discovering more multiple planet systems, characterizing their key dynamical properties, and gaining further insights into planet formation.
