At present three types of velocity oscillations in quiescent prominences are distinguished: (1) long-period oscillations (with oscillation periods of 40-80 min), (2) oscillations with periods of 10-40 min, and (3) short-period oscillations with periods of 10-40 min, and (3) short-period oscillations (3-10 min). By analyzing our observational data obtained at the Sayan Observatory during 1981-1989, we have detected: (1) a dependence of the period of long-period velocity oscillations in prominences on the heliolatitude, and (2) velocity oscillations with periods of 10-40 min (amplitudes of 30-300 m/s) which are interpreted as the eigenmodes of prominences.
