We introduce a computational method to deconvolve the intrinsic CCD flatfield and the camera's 2D shutter function from a series of twilight flatfields of different exposure times. This allows to measure the shutter time and to assess the significance of the shutter's shading effect for a given application. Using the deconvolved 2D functions it is possible to flatfield precisely object exposures of any given exposure time and without interference by the shutter which may otherwise introduce systematic errors as strong as several percent. This is especially important for accurate stellar CCD photometry (e.g. calibration standard stars), as well as direct imaging work with the new generation of large-format CCDs and future wide-field imaging telescopes.
