Inspection of CCD spectra (range 340-1000 nm), obtained on May 28 UT with the 3-m Shane reflector (+ Kast) at Lick Observatory, reveals that CSS090523:142406+074610 (ATel #2057) is a normal type Ia supernova. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "SuperNova IDentification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) indicates that it is about one week past maximum brightness and most similar to the normal type Ia SN 1992A at 6 days past maximum.
