A full description of the Palomar survey is given by Ho et al. (1995, Cat. , 1997, Cat. ). This survey covers a nearly complete, magnitude-limited sample of 486 galaxies from the Revised Shapley-Ames Catalog (Sandage & Tammann, 1981rsac.book.....S, Cat. VII/51) that satisfies BT<=12.5mag and δ>0°. The spectra were acquired using the Double Spectrograph mounted at the Cassegrain focus of the Hale 5m telescope at Palomar Observatory.
