In the present paper, the results of the Guibert, Elitzur, Nguyen-Q-Rieu (1978) analysis are used as a basis to test and refine the parameters of a model for the cloud toward 3C 123. From the analysis, the Taurus clouds appear to have a sheetlike geometry with an extent more than an order of magnitude greater than the thickness. It might be suggested that a one-dimensional compression occurred in Taurus and that the dense core portion of the cloud has fragmented to create the clumps, one of which is exemplified by Cloud 2.
