VLBI maps of the radio emission from the quasar 1928+738 at 6 cm made from observations at epochs 1980.72 and 1982.95 show a self-absorbed "core" with spectral index α ≈ 0.0 and a long "jet" extending 17 milliarcsec from the core (56 h-1pc at redshift z = 0.36; H0 = 100 h km s-1Mpc-1, q0 = 0.05). The jet has a spectral index α ≈ -0.5 and contains at least nine subcomponents, five of which were detected at both epochs. The most plausible alignment of the maps from the two epochs indicates that all five of these subcomponents have apparent transverse velocities ≡9 h-1c, suggesting that 1928+738 may be a superluminal source.
