The author studies the effect of metal-dependent stellar models on chemical yields and in particular on the history of nitrogen and oxygen abundances. He finds that N yield decreases with increasing metal content. This effect somewhat balances the growth of secondary enrichment in nitrogen and leads to a relation between oxygen and nitrogen in fair agreement with observational data for galactic H II regions.
