Observations in the H I 21-cm line of 51 southern galaxies, all but one at declinations below -40°, were carried out at the Instituto Argentino de Radioastronomía. The galaxies were selected from de Vaucouleurs et al. (1976) and H I was detected in 19 of them. The authors report here the results of these observations and some results which are analyzed with reference to the statistical integral properties.
