The results are given of an analysis of photoelectric data on the antiflare star V 346 Ori. The variability is characterized by abrupt deep falls in the light with amplitude up to 2m(V) which are accompanied by specific changes in the color indices and indicate that the dust component of the circumstellar matter plays an important part in the variations of the light. The use of an eruptive model which presupposes that the star has a chromosphere has made it possible to determine the optical characteristics of the circumstellar absorbing matter and establish a dependence of the absorption coefficient on the wavelength. Complete identity of the optical properties of the interstellar and circumstellar matter is observed in the visible part of the spectrum, but in the ultraviolet the absorption coefficient of the circumstellar matter is noticeably higher than that of the interstellar medium.
