Studies of the Galactic globular cluster system have provided key insights to such diverse topics as stellar populations, galaxy formation, and the age of the Universe. Yet despite their importance, integrated photometric properties of Galactic globular clusters are currently derived from extremely inhomogeneous data culled from a variety of sources and detectors dating back nearly 70 years. With the emergence of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) ugriz filter system as a popular choice for both ground-based and space-based observations, the time is ripe to produce a definitive and homogeneous database of integrated colors for the entire Galactic globular cluster system based on SDSS photometric observations. To date we have obtained partial urgiz observations of 110 Galactic globular clusters with the CTIO 0.9m telescope, in order to derive the first color-metallicity relations using the SDSS filter system. Here we request time to continue our program to obtain photometry of all southern Galactic globular clusters using the complete set of SDSS filters. A similar program for northern globular clusters is being conducted from Mauna Kea. Our program will be of great benefit to the astronomical community.
