The supergiant star Eta Carinae is the center of an extremely complex set of phenomena, varying at all wavelengths on many timescales and generally not well understood. We propose to begin an extended, long-term program of photometric monitoring of the star in four visible/near-IR passbands to provide a stable basis for comparing data of all kinds, and to keep track of secular changes in this complicated object.
