The radiance of a sphere illuminated by parallel rays of light is analyzed under the assumption that isotropic monochromatic scattering takes place in the sphere. Asymptotic formulas for the albedo of a homogeneous sphere are derived, and albedo values are calculated for various quantum survival probabilities and various optical radii of the sphere.
