The X-ray source 3U 0614 + 09 is identified with a faint blue variable
star resembling Sco X-I. A flare star is found in the field of the X-ray
source 3U 1636-53 which is a promising candidate for identification.
Results of searches for variable or infrared stars in the fields of four
other X-ray sources are also given.
