Results of total nitrogen measurements in a number of meteorites performed by neutron activation analysis using the N-14(n,p)C-14 reaction are reviewed. From each meteorite a number of chips have been analyzed to investigate the variation of nitrogen contents in a meteorite sample. The results indicate that many meteorites are found to contain a heterogeneous distribution of nitrogen.
