Scientific paper

Positions of Comet Halley were measured on 13 nights during the period of September 1985 - June 1986, using the photographic plates taken at the Cassegrain focus of the 104-cm reflector at the Uttar Pradesh State Observatory. The plate scale at the Cassegrain focus is 15 arcsec/mm covering a field of 40 by 30 arcsec. The journal of observations and the details of plates, along with the identified stars and the measured values of the X and Y coordinates for the stars and the comet are presented.
