The main characteristics of the cited intense complex solar radio event, which was associated with an active-region proton flare, are discussed. A model for the motion of electrons ejected from the acceleration region is proposed along with a scenario for the generation of the main components of the event by such electrons. Estimates of the number of electrons responsible for the various bursts associated with the event are compared. The high-frequency cutoff observed for the associated Type III bursts is explained in terms of cyclotron absorption in certain layers of the magnetoactive coronal plasma.
