PGE in A17 melt breccias reveal specific types of known meteoritic
impactors. The lunar crust was not heavily contaminated with
siderophiles at 3.9 Ga. Both observations support a cataclysm. High
Re/Ir in the upper crust implies a non-chondritic late veneer or
endogenous component.
