A look is made at the available data on nearby (<1000 pc) large interstellar magnetic bubbles. Here the magnetic field strength B in a shell with gas of density n around an OB association is found to be a few times greater than that outside in the general interstellar medium. Typically, B varies like B ˜ nk, where k = 1.0 and s.d. = 0.1, as expected for a shocked medium.
