Of the seven galaxies in the central region of the Coma cluster which
have shown supernova explosions, two belong to the rare class of 10
galaxies. This finding adds support to the contention of Oemler and
Tinsley (1979) that 10 galaxies produce an unusually large number of
Type I supernovae.
