Hydrodynamic calculations of radial nonlinear oscillations are presented for He stars with masses of one solar mass, effective temperatures between 6,000 and 30,000 K and luminosities between 3200 and 20,300 solar luminosities. Thus, the calculations focus on the models located along the blue edge of the helium star instability strip. The core mass-luminosity relation for He stars and pulsation constants show that the bolometric luminosity of R CrB and RY Sgr is in the range 8000 to 10,000 solar luminosities. It is found that light amplitude decreases with increasing effective temperature, while the amplitude of radial velocity at the photosphere is independent of effective temperature. Estimates of the luminosities of some hot extreme helium stars are given.
