Recent VLA absorption line observations have been carried out in in the HI (nu =1.409 GHz) and OH ((2Π_{3/2}) J=3/2 F=1-1 & F=2-2; nu =1.667 & 1.665 GHz) spectral lines toward the star-forming region S106. In addition to the kinematic information, these observations provide measurements of the line-of-sight component of the magnetic field (\Blos) via the Zeeman effect in all three lines. As expected, \Blos is similar in the two OH lines at ~ 150 mu G with a peak of ~ 300 mu G. In the HI line, \Blos is observed in a single synthesized beam and is ~ 50mu G.
