The degree and angular scale of fluctuations in the cosmic blackbody radiation due to hot gas in galaxy clusters are estimated. It is shown that these cluster fluctuations can be at a level comparable to those originating from cosmological density perturbations, and that they can be observed on angular scales of a few minutes. The possibility of using these fluctuations to investigate the evolutionary history of the intracluster gas is examined.
