High velocity wings have been discovered in both (C-12)O and (C-13)O emission profiles observed toward the infrared source GL 490. The velocity extents of the high velocity emission are about 60 km/s and 36 km/s for (C-12)O and (C-13)O, respectively. The ratio of integrated intensity of (C-12)O to (C-13)O high velocity emission is found to be 26 + or - 5, which suggests that the (C-12)O emission is somewhat more optically thick. Maps of the (C-12)O emission show that the redshifted and blueshifted components of the high velocity gas originate at two separate locations symmetrically located about the position of the infrared source. This suggests that an energetic bipolar outflow of molecular gas is occurring in the vicinity of GL 490.
