Evidence for stellar absorption features in a composite ultraviolet spectrum of high-redshift radio galaxies is presented. A large fraction of the ultraviolet light from these objects appears to be starlight. Explanations for the alignment of the optical/infrared continuum and the radio axis in these objects must take this into account. The overall shape of the spectrum suggests that the star formation rate in these objects was higher in the immediate past.
