There is increasing evidence that every molecular outflow represents turbulent cloud material entrained by a central stellar jet. Under this hypothesis, the surfaces of constant velocity within an outflow should spread outward from the jet axis. Using the results of CO observations, I propose an empirical velocity distribution of this character. Outflows with this distribution display the well documented ``acceleration" phenomenon, i.e., the increase in terminal velocity away from the driving star. This research was supported primarily by NSF Grant AST-92-96096.
