Observations with the Energetic Gamma Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET) on the Compton Observatory show that the Vela-Carina region of the galactic plane has two principal sources of E>100 MeV gamma rays: localized sources and diffuse emission from cosmic rays interacting with the interstellar gas. In addition to the Vela and B1055-52 pulsars, a number of unidentified sources are seen, particularly in the longitude range from 284(deg) < l < 320(deg) . Source locations, energy spectra, and time variability information will be presented.
