We present spatially resolved X-ray spectra of NGC 4258, using the stacked XMM-Newton and Chandra observations. The thermal temperature of the hot gas in the anomalous arms agrees with the temperature inferred from shock velocities measured in optical. We found evidences that support the anomalous arms being powered by the currently active jets and are pushed out of the galactic plane by the jet heated halo gas: 1) The absorption column density in the NW arm is significantly higher than that in the SE arm, while the latter is found to be consistent with that of the Galaxy; 2) The X-ray emission around the jets is found to be out of the disk plane, suggesting it is close association to the jets, and likely to be the jet heated halo gas; 3) The X-ray emission in the radio hot spots is found to be closely associated with the shocks identified in HST images, which suggests the X-ray emission come from the shocked ISM. The inferred jet power agrees with the total power needed to heat the anomalous arms. We also confirm the detection of a $kT \sim 0.2-0.3$ keV thermal component in the outer part of the galaxy. We also report significant detection of a weak 6.4 keV Fe K$\alpha$ emission line in the stacked XMM-Newton spectrum of the nucleus, with $EW = 40 \pm 33$ eV.
