We will report on the first simultaneous radio to gamma-ray observation
of a magnetar candidate, namely 4U 0142+61, performed in mid-2005 by
Westerbork, Gemini, Swift and INTEGRAL. We will also present the new
important results on the magnetars' emission mechanism we could infer
from the spectral modeling of this multiwavelength observation.
