X-Ray, Transients

Scientific paper

The new hard X-ray transient IGR J17375-3022, detected by INTEGRAL in the 20-150 keV band (Ricci et al. 2008, ATel #1781), has been observed by Swift for an effective on-source time of 8 ksec. The observation started at 2008-10-14T17:29 U.T. Within the INTEGRAL IBIS/ISGRI error circle of 2.2 arcmin, there is one bright X-ray source detected in Swift/XRT. The position of this source is RA=264.3911, DEC=-30.3876 with an uncertainty of 3.5 arcsec, at 24 arcsec distance from the position reported by INTEGRAL.
