We propose to explore the Dark Ages with radio observations of the redshifted 21-cm emission. The physical mechanism that makes the neutral Hydrogen visible in emission or in absorption is the Lyalpha coupling of the spin temperature to the kinetic temperature via the Wouthuysen-Field effect. In particular we show that the epoch of formation of the first generation of stars, can leave a strong signature in absorption against the Cosmic Microwave Background. Moreover, prior to the epoch of full reionization, the density fluctuation in the Intergalactic Medium can be observed in emission, thus constraining the the amplitude of the density perturbation spectrum at an unexplored epoch. Both this features will be detectable with the next generation of radio telescopes such as the Square Kilometer Array Interferometer (SKAI).
