Tidal interactions between galaxies in clusters are capable of stripping dark halos, removing large amounts of gas, and destroying thin disks of spirals. These effects are amplified by the time-variable potential of the cluster as it is forming hierarchically. I present the results of numerical simulations of the dynamics of galaxies in the three clusters formed under different cosmological scenarios. Large spiral galaxies lose most of their dark halos, but the disks stay albeit somewhat thickened. The heating may be just enough to suppress any star formation to make the galaxies look as a featureless S0. Dwarf spheroidals are destroyed almost completely. The effects are more pronounced in a low Omega_0 model, where structures form early. These results may explain both the strong morphological evolution of galaxies in high-redshift clusters and the presence of distorted S0s in nearby clusters.
