The X-ray spectral properties of a selected sample of Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxies observed by BeppoSAX are presented. Their complex X-ray emission and spectral behavior coupled with strong and rapid X-ray variability suggest similarities with the high states of Galactic Black Hole Candidates. Constraints on black hole masses derived by variability arguments are also briefly discussed.
