Using updated data about jet sidedness available for 80% of FRII sources taken from the 3CR complete sample, we find that only 60% of radio galaxies and 75% of quasars are in agreement with an intrinsically symmetric kinematical model of double FRII radio sources (RSs). We propose an asymmetric model which takes account of the contribution of both relativistic effects and intrinsic environmental asymmetry to the structural asymmetry of FRII RSs. We show that the new model is in a good agreement with observational data and the contributions of both effects are comparable (0.25c). The mean expansion speed of the lobes is estimated to be overline{v}lobe~(0.12 +- 0.04)c. The asymmetric model is in agreement with a unified scheme when a critical angle separating radio galaxies from quasars is about 55^o.
