We have recently observed the nuclear region of Centaurus A in both visible light and near-IR via a series of observations using the Hubble Space Telescope. We present results from diffraction limited images in U, V, I, H, and K. An unresolved source is seen in V and I at the nucleus of the galaxy, and the galaxy profile can be extrapolated into within ~0.1'' of the nucleus. An elongated structure seen in Paalpha and [Fe II]lambda1.643 microns is interpreted as being an ionized, extended accretion disk around the nucleus with a radius of 1.2'' or ~20 pc. Several ionized knots are also seen, some of which may be associated with the jet. A faint blue linear feature along the position angle of the jet extending out from the nucleus is seen with WFPC2. We discuss the implications of these results in terms of standard AGN and jet models.
