Solar wind regions with low Alfvenic correlation are studied using Helios 2 data between 1.0 and 0.3 AU. It is shown that the appearance of strong compressive fluctuations can accompany a decrease of the Alfvenic correlation. It is suggested that, in this case, the low Alfvenic correlation should be related to a lack in Alfvenicity of the fluctuations due to the presence of other kinds of perturbations or structures in the solar wind. Also, when incompressibility is well satisfied, evidence is found in favor of a local generation of turbulence at a velocity shear.
