The supernova remnant RX J1713.7-3946 is a prominent source of nonthermal X-rays and TeV gamma-rays and provides strong evidence that shell-type SNRs are sites of acceleration of galactic cosmic rays. In order to study the nature of the nonthermal X-ray emission, we performed broadband X-ray observations with the Suzaku satellite. We have covered almost the entire remnant with 11 pointings. Thanks to the low background of the HXD, we have successfully detected hard X-ray up to 40 keV, and, together with the XIS data, we have obtained a broadband spectrum ranging from 0.4 keV to 40 keV. In the spectrum, we have clearly detected a cutoff structure corresponding to the maximum energy of accelerated electrons. The cutoff shape agrees well with a theoretical prediction and the obtained cutoff energy indicates that particle acceleration at the remnant is so efficient that it is almost in the theoretical limit, so-called Bohm limit. In this presentation, we will show those results obtained with the Suzaku satellite. We will also present results of our multi-wavelength studies from spectral and morphological points of view.
