Milagro has performed the deepest survey of 2π sr of the TeV sky. Several of the sources detected with Milagro are spatially extended implying that the particles which produce these very high energy gamma-rays travel away from their sources before interacting with radiation or matter. The most extreme example is the TeV diffuse emission from the Galactic plane. After subtracting the localized sources detected by Milagro, the plane of the Galaxy is still detected with a significance of over 7 sigma. The flux and spatial distribution of this Galactic flux is compared to the predictions of GALPROP. In addition, Milagro detects anisotropies in the cosmic ray flux. The most mysterious is a 15 sigma excess that is clearly not due to gamma rays yet has only a 10 degree angular diameter. The spectrum of the excess is inconsistent with the cosmic ray flux measured at Earth and the energy flux peaks at 10 TeV. The gyroradius of a 10 TeV proton in a 2 μG field is only 0.005 pc (1000 AU), which makes this cosmic ray source very difficult to explain.
