Elliptical Galaxies: Surface Photometry, Data Processing: Ccd Photometry

Scientific paper

The author reviews the classical methods for modelling an image of an
elliptical galaxy and presents an alternative one: the moment analysis
method. The different methods are compared on a real case and the author
presents the application of the moment analysis method to the study of
pairs of elliptical galaxies. Some astrophysical results are summarized.
