The authors have compared the positions, classifications, and photometry of seven different software packages. Using an identical test image of field galaxies from a deep 4-m plate for all groups, they find good agreement on detection of objects to over 24th magnitude; a breakdown of star-galaxy classifications fainter than about 22.5 mag; and photometry differences of several tenths of magnitude by 24th magnitude.
