A simple stellar wind model, hydrogenic approximations and scaling laws are used to derive information about recombination lines in the Infrared Space Observatory range (1 to 100 microns). The boundary level from above which recombination lines originate, is estimated for a 40,000 star and the results show that it is in the range n=2 to 10 for the most abundant elements. A simple model to evaluate the population of levels above the boundary level is given. The results are used to produce a table of predictions of fluxes and equivalent widths of recombination lines for H, He, CIII-IV, NIII-V and OIII-V.
