Characteristics of gamma-ray spectra recorded on the Venera missions are examined. It is pointed out that the 511-keV annihilation line is gravitationally redshifted and is recorded as an emission line in the 400-450 keV energy range. It is also found that absorption of radiation in the sources at the cyclotron frequency in a field of order 5 x 10 to the 12th gauss sometimes produces a line of 30-60 keV energy. The spectral features indicate that the gamma-ray burst sources involve neutron stars.
