This paper examines the photometry for 911 stars in the globular cluster NGC 288 situated less than a degree from the South Galactic Pole. The Pickering-Racine wedge is used with several telescopes to extend the photoelectric limit from V approximately 16.0 to 20.6. The position of the main sequence turn-off lies at V = 18.8 + or - 0.1 (m.e.) and B - V - 0.50 + or - 0.03 (m.e.). The cluster's age is determined at 14.5 + or - 2.5 billion years and a striking deficiency of stars over approximately 0.7 magnitude of the subgiant branch is observed.
