Radio emission of the star No. 12 of the Cygnus OB 2 association has been detected. It is discussed in terms of the rate of mass loss. The rate is still compatible with current understanding of a fast line- driven stellar wind of early type stars, even at this rather late spectral type and very high luminosity. It seems to indicate that for evolved stars the strength of this wind may be independent of spectral type.
