The dependence of ionization front structure on local interstellar conditions is investigated. Variations in physical and emission properties of I-fronts are evaluated for upstream temperatures from 10 to 5 x 10 to the 3rd K, front velocities from 0.1 cm/s and to 100 km/s, stellar temperatures from 10 to the 4th to 10 to the 5th K, upstream densities from 1 to 10 to the 8th per cu cm, and for a range of helium, trace element and dust particle abundances. Empirical relationships between upstream and downstream conditions across an I-front are discussed. Departures from constant pressure and constant density flows for D and R type fronts respectively are found to be small, except near strong D or strong R conditions.
