It is maintained that the periods announced for 11 Ori and 137 Tau by Winzer (1974) are not the true ones, but related periods. It is emphasized that in order to find the correct period of a star, it is necessary not only to use a good method of period determination (e.g., Renson 1978), but also to have a good series of measurements, especially concerning the time distribution of the measurements. Otherwise, the true period cannot be distinguished from the related ones.
