The Input Catalogue will contain 100000 stars selected from proposals submitted by the astronomical community. About 700000 stars (with redundancies), from 214 proposals, have been received, and 60000 stars have been added for the survey; but, for different reasons (stars deleted by proposers, unsuitable proposals, etc...), about 520000 stars "only" have finally been considered. The procedure to handle all these stars and merge them into a unique list without repetitions is described.
