By means of N-body numerical simulations of a disk consisting of N = 250 interacting probe particles the spiral density waves, predicted by the theory of Lin et al., were really found from their influence on the velocity field. In the framework of the nonlinear description the parameters of these "computer" waves are evaluated. It is shown that the method of numerical simulation can be applied to the study of the spiral structure of real weakly-twisted galaxies with large amplitudes of disturbance of the basic equilibrium state, e.g. to the galaxy NGC 3310.
