The results of the 1983 campaign of solar position observations are reported. Observations were made at 5 zenith distances. For all the measurements made on 1983 (totalling 142 complets Sun crossing) we have obtained the following mean value for right ascension : Δα = 0.009 ± 0.008 and for the semi-diameter reduced to one astronomical unit : R = 959."4l ± 0."02. Reductions were made using the new 1984 system of I.A.U. constants and the VSOP 82 Sun theory.
